Historic Kern County

This Kern County Museum Foundation publication covers the early history of the people, settlements, agriculture, early transportation, land and water development, deserts, mines and aeronautics, oil and energy, valley development in the early 20th century and post war Kern County. The thousands of black and white images and artifacts in this book came from the Kern County Museum which houses perhaps the largest collection of area photographs. Hundreds more full color photographs complete the lovely edition.
