El Camino Viejo à Los Angeles is one of the stories Frank Latta wrote and originally presented to the Kern County Historical Society as a program in the mid-1930s. The organization published Latta’s manuscript in 1936 and the book quickly went out of print. The history of El Camino Viejo à Los Angeles is an important part of the early history of the San Joaquin Valley and long lost to the local history reader.
